Smakbyn opened its doors to the public in the autumn of 2012.

It also marked the beginning of Michael Björklund’s dream project – one that he had been planning for years. Smakbyn is just a stone’s throw away from Kastelholm, a stately medieval castle on the shores of Lumparn bay on Åland. In Smakbyn, you can enjoy a good meal, refreshing drinks or take part in a cooking class. We also offer guided tours of our distillery and wine cellar, and you can buy delicious artisan food in our well-stocked shop.
