Gastropub Pubiruusu – A Relaxed Meeting Place on Kakolanmäki Pubiruusu is a new gastropub located alongside Kakolanruusu on Kakolanmäki, set in the legendary former Kakola Prison within the old solitary confinement wing known as the “rundi.” Here, historic surroundings meet a laid-back atmosphere – a place to unwind without hurry. You can drop by Pubiruusu to spend the evening with friends, enjoy a drink before or after your visit to Kakolanruusu, or simply stay a little longer and soak in the relaxed vibe. Everyone is welcome – including well-behaved dogs. Whether you want to play games, watch sports, join weekly quizzes, or just sit down for good food and drinks, Pubiruusu offers a comfortable setting for it all. The menu features delicious pub classics, with options for both lighter bites and heartier appetites. Only part of the seating is available for online reservations, but you are warmly welcome to visit us without a booking. Pubiruusu has its own entrance and is easy to access either through the courtyard or from the hotel side via the east gate. The restaurant is fully accessible – please contact us in advance and we will guide you to the accessible entrance. Darts & Table Curling Darts and table curling can be booked through the reservation calendar. The table curling fee is €15; there is no separate charge for darts. Each session lasts 1 hour. Before or after your booking, you’re welcome to spend time at Pubiruusu or head over to Kakolanruusu (please remember to reserve a table there in advance).
