Restaurant Kakolanruusu is located in the most interesting environment of Turku, in the old Kakola Prison.

The restaurant was opened in its current and final location in the spring of 2019. The magnificent facilities include e.g. a world class cocktail bar, cozy terrace with table service and a cabinet space for private occasions in the former solitary section! The young, innovative and skilled staff serves with a natural smile. An evening in Kakolanruusu folds sweetly at first dates, family parties or even at company´s launch release parties. Food in Kakolanruusu comes with high degree of craftsmanship and flavor of open fire, prepared with seasonal ingredients. Divided portions allow for a salty snack with wine pairing on the side or even an all night experience, Kakola´s Big Feasts. The sommeliers´recommendations for each serving makes the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible. In a prison setting! During summertime we also serve food at lunch time at 12:00 - 14:30.
