The Asian aspect is due to the host couple's Danish-Thai background. Fresh ingredients find their way to the kitchen, and the inn welcomes both small and large companies. The beautiful yellow building is hard to miss when driving through Højslev St. Town. Here there is an inn which has existed since 1870. Although the place has naturally developed since then, you can still feel the buzz of history when you enter the rooms at Højslev Kro. In 1995, the place underwent a major renovation with care for the building's original style, and it still looks great with its towers and barred windows. Inside, the interior also remains in its original style, and you will experience a warm atmosphere here. Højslev Kro has always been an extremely well-visited roadside inn. The place is today owned by the couple Claus and Sara Engmann. When they took over the inn back in 1997, they were determined to focus on high-quality cooking and memorable experiences. This has placed Højslev Kro among the best of its kind. Højslev Kro is also responsible for renting out the function room at Resenlund, located in scenic surroundings right by Skive Fjord. Sara was born in Thailand, so her Thai roots are easily expressed on the menu. Here you can enjoy both the traditional Danish dishes but also Thai gastronomy. They create all their dishes with seasonal ingredients, which guarantees the best possible taste. In addition, quality is a keyword in the kitchen at Højslev Kro. Among other things, you can get carpaccio from the exclusive Wagyu beef. Although the name sounds exotic, the meat is delivered from local cattle that have grazed in Naturpark Flyndersø. On Sundays, the restaurant is only open to pre-booked parties. Weather permitting, you can enjoy lunch or dinner outside on the inn's lovely terrace on the first floor. The terrace occupies a full 180 square meters and is an extension of the inn's large ballroom. It is ideal to use in connection with various events.
