You can now experience the good food and special atmosphere from Skovmøllen at Moesgaard all the way down to the water at Aarhus Ø.

In December 2023, the founders of Skovmøllen opened a new restaurant at Aarhus Ø, bringing all the good things from Moesgaard with them. The team behind the 200-year-old Skovmølle at Moesgaard now operates several different locations, all based on a strong community culture and a passion for high quality. The good food and wonderful atmosphere known from Skovmøllen have now come a bit closer to Aarhus at Skovmøllen Ø. The food served is local, sustainable, and selected with care and attention to detail. Seasonal ingredients play a central role in the kitchen, meaning the dishes are changed and developed as the seasons replace each other. For lunch, you can choose from various cold and warm dishes and plates, including open sandwiches with the best toppings of the season. There are also a number of delicious desserts to choose from, and Skovmøllen's famous hot chocolate with whipped cream has also made its way onto the menu. If you dine at Skovmøllen Ø in the evening, you can look forward to French delicacies like beef tartare and Italian pasta gnocchi, as well as classics from the more Nordic kitchen and Danish cheeses. Although there is much more focus on quality than quantity, the menu offers something for everyone. The restaurant's architecture with thatched roof, wooden house, and greenhouse creates a particularly lovely atmosphere, and with a location right down to the water on Irma Pedersens Gade, there is guaranteed coziness at this place.
