Opened in February 2020, Madonna is a brand-new restaurant, bar and terrace settled into an old factory, serving our favourite dishes and drinks from the entire treasure trove of the Italian boot.

After cracking it in downtown Helsinki with The Cock, Holiday Bar and Yes Yes Yes we felt it was time to cross the bridge over to Kallio (aka Helsinki’s Brooklyn) with Madonna, the newest addition to Hawaii restaurant family. Madonna shouts out pizza, pasta and gelato. Simple but damn good ingredients and flavours. Our pizza is thin and crispy Roman style, pasta often home-made, topping it off with gelato made right in our own kitchen. The bar is the grand and golden centrepiece of the dining room. This is where we mix favourite fresh Italian cocktails and offer a good selection of bitters, grappas and other treats. Not to forget about our homemade limoncello we take great pride in. The “more is more” interior is a happy marriage of nostalgy and the present, making Madonna a place that feels escapist and down to earth at the same time. From a water fountain, lip-shaped bar and Murano chandeliers to a hand-painted fresco, shiny black piano and beautiful marbles – you name it, we have it.
